Rethinking Bath Time as a Developmental Routine

At Lovevery, I led the strategy for The Bath Set, reframing bath time not as a narrow toy category, but as one of family life's richest daily routines for language, sensory exploration, and connection. My role spanned research, in-home product testing, cross-functional alignment, and building the kickoff direction that carried the vision into product development.

More to come: additional product lines I helped shape are currently in development.

  • Framing the opportunity Working closely with the team, we reframed bath time as a high-frequency routine with real potential for language development, sensory exploration, and fine motor learning, not just another toy category.

Research and product testing The strategy was grounded in qualitative and quantitative research, including in-home product testing, parent interviews, and close observation of bath time across ages and stages. That work surfaced how families actually use these products, where engagement holds or drops, and which details matter most in real routines.

Shaping the system In partnership with cross-functional teams, The Bath Set was shaped as a connected learning system rather than a collection of bath toys, with each component supporting different kinds of exploration, experimentation, and skill-building through repeated play.

From vision to development I helped translate leadership vision into clear product direction, building kickoff documentation that gave the design team a strong starting point. From there, I stayed close to development, helping maintain clarity and intent as the product moved forward. Parent usability stayed central throughout, with attention to practical details like ease of cleaning, fast drying, and mold-resistant construction.
